Where I Stand on Ethics, Boundaries, and Social Justice

Why I Am Sharing This

I believe in being intentional about where I spend my money, who I support, and which voices and values I amplify. Transparency matters to me. I want you to be able to make an informed decision about whether you want to engage with my work, my space, or me as a person.

I envision a world where everyone is treated with dignity, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, income, or appearance. A world where people are safe and free to live full lives. When you support my work, this is the kind of world you are supporting.

The issues closest to my heart include racial justice, LGBTQIA+ equality, global accountability, and protecting our planet from climate change.

Racial Justice & Accountability

As an American citizen, I believe the United States has repeatedly failed to uphold its promises of freedom and justice for BIPOC people and communities. Voter suppression, mass incarceration, housing and income inequality, healthcare disparities, and bias within the justice system continue to harm non-white people with little accountability.

As a white American, I benefit from privileges that many of my BIPOC friends and family do not. I have both knowingly and unknowingly upheld racist ideologies in the past and have been complicit in systems designed to marginalize, devalue, and harm BIPOC communities. I am committed to lifelong education and to practicing anti-racist values and actions.

It is the responsibility of white people to recognize the power and privilege we hold within systems shaped by white supremacy and to actively dismantle those systems. Equity and inclusion must exist regardless of skin color or financial status.

I want to live in a world where diversity is not performative, but real. Where all people have equal access to healthcare, education, safety, financial stability, fair employment, housing, food, affirmation, and humanity.

LGBTQIA+ Rights & Bodily Autonomy

I am part of the Rainbow Family and I fully support LGBTQIA+ equality. I affirm trans, nonbinary, queer, and all gender and sexual identities. I identify as Enby DemiPan.

I believe everyone deserves equal rights to legal marriage, parenthood or the choice not to have children, gender-affirming care, comprehensive healthcare, and the ability to live safely within their communities.

Abortion, contraception, tubal ligation, and vasectomies are healthcare.

Trans women are women.
Trans men are men.

Science, Reality, & Human Rights

Climate change is real.
The world is not flat.
COVID is not a conspiracy, and even if it were, vaccinating and masking were still the ethical choices.

Palestinians deserve to live in their own country without fear. The genocide currently being carried out against them by Israel violates international law. Countries that support Israel in this violence are complicit in violations of the Geneva Convention.
